Bug Description

(I am not sure whether this is the expected behaviour. I wasn't able to an exact answer for this).

Packages that are marked as pinned / locked in synaptic, trigger the update-manager applet in KDE.

This is related to bug 13408 (pinned packages appear as upgradeable) which is suppossed to be fixed.

This is Dapper. Bug 13408 seems to have fixed this *before* Dapper. Or perhaps it needs to be fixed in KDE's update-manager (if it is different from GNOME's one).

OK. Now I realized that update-manager is GNOME only. In KDE it is adept. So wrong package.

The reason I marked this as a duplicate of the other report, and not vice versa, is to avoid the confusion with KDE vs. Gnome. The other report is clearer in that respect.
