up and down arrows/pgup-pgdn work erratically

Bug Description
Binary package hint: chmsee
I'm using ubuntu 10.04 and chmsee .1.0.7 from the repositories and only after 3 or more openings and closings of chmsee do
the up and down arrows or pgup/pgdn work. Also bookmarks don't get remembered between boots of the program (but that is easy to live with). What I expect to happen is that the arrows and page up/down buttons work. They don't. At least not until I open and close the program several times.
