Bug Description
Binary package hint: kcm-touchpad
I was sent here with my report from https:/
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.2)
> lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04
kcm-touchpad 0.3.1-0ubuntu3(
Using the Touchpad-Interface to enable circular scrolling, the slider generates
values between 300 (leftmost) and 30 (rightmost). But to get something going I
use:
synclient CircScrollDelta
which is far outside the range, the GUI allows (checked via synclient -l).
Putting my value of 0.05 in an extra file in
/usr/
did not help, as the settings in KControl take precedence. (Actually I can set
values, not available in the GUI. But everything else is overwritten).
Please extend the range!
Meanwhile: Is there a way to disable the touchpad-settings in KControl to use
my conf file? Or can I somehow reoverride after KControl was loaded on
session-startup?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
KDE loads
synclient -l
the value is somewhere between 300 and 30
synclient CircScrollDelta
synclient -l
confirm the new value and check circular scrolling works
open kcontrol/
synclient -l
value is back to somewhere between 300 and 30, circscrolling is effectively
disabled.
Actual Results:
On every save or reboot, the value is back to somewhere between 300 and 30,
circscrolling is effectively disabled.
Expected Results:
Let me specify a value of 0.05
Maybe you could add a switch, if touchpad-settings should be left to
system-defaults, thereby not interfering with rules in
/usr/lib/
