Bug Description
When updating the repositories on Maverick, I often get an error messages like:
N: Ignoring file 'google-
N: Ignoring file 'canonical-
N: Ignoring file 'ubuntu-
N: Ignoring file 'medibuntu.
N: Ignoring file 'canonical-
N: Ignoring file 'ricotz-
N: Ignoring file 'ubuntu-
N: Ignoring file 'ubuntu-
The problem can temporarily be solved by running these commands:
cp /etc/apt/
sudo rm *.save
sudo rm *.distUpgrade
... but something (Synaptic) creates these files again and then complains about them next time you update ;)
Sorry, it's a duplicate of bug 611925 reported in apt about two weeks ago.
