Bug Description

Downloaded VMware-Player-3.1.0-261024.x86_64.bundle
Followed instructions
Using http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/18768/run-windows-in-ubuntu-with-vmware-player/
followed instructions

chmod +x ./VMware-Player-3.1.0-261024.x86_64.bundle
and
gksudo bash ./VMware-Player-3.1.0-261024.x86_64.bundle

That did not work so I went to http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/1362

a)Open a terminal
Find your downloaded Vmware file
b)cd Dowloads
Now start the installer:
sudo sh VMware-Player-3.1.0-261024.x86_64.bundle
And, presto the files extract and you're given a GUI to finish the installation

That did not work either. Any other ideas?
