Latest nvidia driver causes appearance problems

Bug Description
With nvidia driver version 256.35 I experienced some problems with the default user interface. I run into this both with Lucid (drivers upgraded from xorg edgers packages, rollback fixes the problem) and Maverick (in which the driver is default). Two screenshots attached. You can see the problems with highlighted application in the lower panel and with buttons and menu separators.
