It was not published yet because there is an error when running it on 64 bits.

It fails with this error message:
file ui/menddef.h not found

Recompiling on maverick did not help.
Game is still in an early development stage as it seems.

Waiting for a final release then.

Did that error prevent compiling from finishing, or was it just a warning? SG has been on version 1.0 for a while, and the binary version runs stably. Try asking on http://www.smokin-guns.net/viewforum.php?f=30 since search didn't find anyone with this error. I'll try compiling it too and see what problems occur, did you try 32bit or 64bit?

I tested on amd64.
The compilation succeeded. But this error made the game quit immediately.

A similar issue was noted for Urban Terror, which uses the same engine: http://forums.urbanterror.info/topic/20357-bug-x86-64-wont-start/
An ioquake bug for 64bit Intel is mentioned: http://bugzilla.icculus.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4331
Sounds like a significant problem, though only for certain systems.

Is it something that should be accounted for in the SG code? Started a topic on their forum in case others search for the same error: http://www.smokin-guns.net/viewtopic.php?p=19422
