Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

After a fresh install of 10.04 from alternate CD, both panels are totally empty, giving me no chance to launch any program. Adding applets to the panels don't work also. Tried to reinstall several times, with no avail. This is not related to bug #7500, since I do not get the error message from #7500 and deleting the gnome configuration don't help also.

Are you using a Matrox video card? Please attach the output of lspci -v if you're not sure. This bug is probably a duplicate of bug #572550.

There's a matrox mga g400/450 in this box. So it really looks like a duplicate.
Sorry that I did not realize it as a duplicate in the first place.
