Bug Description
I have the screensaver set to go blank and lock the screen after X minutes. After X minutes have past, the screen does not go blank and activity on the desktop is still displayed. However, when I move the mouse, it DOES blank and prompts for login information.
I'm dual-headed, using the laptop's LCD and an external monitor on the Intel 945 GM chipset.

Thank you for the bug report.
This could possibly be a manifestation of this upstream bug:
https:/ /bugs.freedeskt op.org/ show_bug. cgi?id= 27108
I'm not going to link to the upstream bug until we're sure. In the meantime, I'll try to get a test kernel built with the two patches known to fix the problem, and see if they solve it for you.
Your test case is valuable, as the upstream bug is random and not easily reproduceable.
