Binary package hint: indicator-applet
Normally the bluetooth applet diplays a submenu for each know peripheral, but with the indicator the peripherals menu is empty.

The duplicate seems to be more or less related to the same issue, except that other menu entries disappeared after a set of disable / enable blutooth actions.
