Me Menu signs off MSN Account from Pidgin

Bug Description
When you change your status using the Me Menu on ubuntu 10.04 64 bit it will log you off from Pidgin on your MSN account and on pidgin you will receive a message that you signed in from a different place.
The Me Menu should change the status, not log you off from the messenger program that you are using. I am wondering if this will happen with Emesene or Galaxium Messenger for instance.
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit
