Bug Description
When using VESA video mode (800x600 display), it is impossible to see the full area of the Views subsection in the File Management Preferences in Nautilus 2.28.1 in Mint 8 Helena Main. This is because the Views window is taller than the 600-pixel vertical dimension of the display, thus cutting off some portion of the bottom of the window, and the Views window refuses to be allow itself to be resized any smaller to fit completely inside the display. The Views window also refuses to allow itself to be moved above the top edge of the display when trying to view the lower part of the window.
I am forced to use VESA because it is the only video mode that works in Mint 8 Helena Main on this very new PC (perhaps Ubuntu Lucid would work better)
If Nautilus has a requirement to fit within 600px, then this can be considered a bug. Marking as upstream.
B Bobo: Workaround, in the meantime, while pressing the Alt key you can drag the window from anywhere using the mouse. This is handy trick on computers with low resolutions.
The issue related to your resolution is a different one, please use the forums to seek assistance on that.
