Lucid Beta 2 won't complete boot after installing updates

Bug Description

Release: Lucid Lynx Beta 2
Hardware: Lenovo X60 laptop

I rebooted after installing all current updates but the boot process won't complete. I've tried rebooting multiple times. The boot process freezes and the last message on the screen is: 0.787424 isapnp: No Plug & Play device found

I also received a kernel freeze, on USB driver recognition. I am using a MBP (5,4), under Lucid Beta 2, and received the following in dmesg:
