Bug Description

Hi

Could help but notice that ubuntu 10.04 beta one is missing some apparmor profiles-for example firefox and transmission

david@david-laptop:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor status
[sudo] password for david:
/usr/sbin/traceroute (complain)
/usr/sbin/tcpdump (enforce)
/usr/sbin/smbd (complain)
/usr/sbin/nscd (complain)
/usr/sbin/nmbd (complain)
/usr/sbin/mysqld-akonadi (enforce)
/usr/sbin/mdnsd (complain)
/usr/lib/dovecot/pop3-login (complain)
/usr/sbin/identd (complain)
/usr/sbin/dovecot (complain)
/usr/sbin/dnsmasq (complain)
/usr/sbin/cupsd (enforce)
/usr/lib/cups/backend/cups-pdf (enforce)
/usr/sbin/avahi-daemon (complain)
/usr/lib/dovecot/pop3 (complain)
/usr/bin/evince-thumbnailer (enforce)
/usr/bin/evince-previewer (enforce)
/usr/bin/evince (enforce)
/usr/lib/dovecot/managesieve-login (complain)
/usr/lib/dovecot/imap-login (complain)
/usr/lib/dovecot/imap (complain)
/usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-auth (complain)

Will new profiles be created for the final release of ubuntu 10.04 on 29/04/10? I know that you can create profiles by yourself but my previous attempts have resulted in problems-firefox not opening/crashing and making screen go grey etc. Ideally if all profiles could be configured for high security and enforced by default then this would help novices like myself a lot.

Firefox has an apparmor profile, but it is shipped as part of the firefox package and is disabled by default. For more information, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/FAQ#Firefox%20AppArmor%20profile
