Bug Description

I'm using Kubuntu Dapper, with KDE 3.5.2. When I open any Konqueror window onto my local file system (excluding internet browsing profile) I get:

Cannot find parent item file:///home in the tree. Internal error.

I didn't used to get this - it suddenly appeared after a recent update, though I don't remember what was in the update. I've posted on several forums (including KDE and Kubuntu) but noone knows what this problem is.

In kde 3.5.4, file:///home resolves to simply /home, which replaces file:///home in the address bar. Do you get the error no matter what directory you browse to, or only for /home? If you do get the error for other directories (sounds like a silly question, but I want to be sure), does the error message still say /home?

I raised this bug - I've since moved to a new Linux distribution due to no being able to solve this problem, so I'm unable to provide more info. Sorry.

Seems like an awfully small bug to drive a user to another distro, but without further information or reproducibility this bug needs closure. Closing.

May seem small but it's annoying having this error pop up everytime I open a window.

I reinstalled Kubuntu and I still have the same problem. Note I didn't have it with a different KDE based distro. Can be re-opened if you want me to provide more information.
