time/date in the same format as the panel

Bug Description
it would be more user friendly if the date and time of the alarms were either
1. displayed using a combination of names (of days and/or months) and numbers
2. conformed to however the user has decided to display the time and date in the gnome panel
instead of just the numerical display that it currently has. other than that i love alarm clock!
