Hi Dan,

Unicode characters work fine for me using an rss feed with the 1.0.5 stock client.

Here's a test rss feed that you can try:
http://sandbox.kluger.com/rss1.rss

It works great!

Regards,

Larry

Hi Larry,

Are your clients running on an English install of windows? Or do you have a different edition?

The 1.0.5 client always encodes in the OS default encoding - whereas 1.0.7 will just take the encoding the server gives it.

I will run through your feed as a test for 1.0.7 - thanks a lot!

As far as I'm aware unicode RSS feeds work OK on 1.0.5. The bug relates specifically to text items that are written out to the xlf file in the system default encoding.

Hi Dan,

Sorry for the delay in reply, I forgot to subscribe to the thread and didn't see your msg until now.

Anyhow, my tests have all been with US locale version of Windows XP SP2 with .NET 3.5 SP! and IE 7 installed.

Regards,

Larry
