Remember password checkbox won't save my password

Binary package hint: cups

This may be similar or a duplicate of bug # 455734.

Basically, I am prompted for a username and password, when printing to my network printer. I check the box that says Remember password, but the username and password are not preserved for the next printing.

Is there a temporary workaround?
