after upgrading to ubuntu 9.10 it only works in low graphics mode

Binary package hint: xorg

had the same problem after upgrading to ubuntu 8, couldnt fix it then either. Now sound is also failing

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 - the Karmic Koala - released in October 2009 and supported until April 2011.
