Bug Description
Binary package hint: kterm
I have just changed over from Fedora Core x to Ubuntu (9.10). I have a couple of
legacy apps which run best in kterms, so I installed kterm (apt-get). I was very
disappointed to find that the kterm provided does not support JIS X 0212 characters.
It may be just that the correct fonts are not included, or it may be that the kterm
version is missing the patches that add JIS X 0212 support. It's surprising as
with Fedora the kterm worked properly "out of the box".

I installed the additional font files, and I now have JIS X 0212 kanji displaying OK. It would be
*very* good if these fonts were added to the kterm package,
