Bug Description
After updating to ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) (Synaptic 0.62.5) all of my programs crash unexpectedly, particularly Firefox and Evolution e-mail. My computer has, on its own, shut off and restarted numerous times. Sometimes on startup I am given a log on option to choose either ubuntu, failsafe gnome or KDE, but not always. This is all beginning to be a huge pain. None of these problems existed before the latest upgrade.
