Bug Description
On upgrade from NBR 9.04 to 9.10 after initial restart the brightness indicator continually displayed on top right corner. The brightness continually readjusted itself. Additionally, the wireless connection notification was constantly displaying. Both displays prevented access to some desktop icons.
A reboot didn't cure the problem.
By opening the "display" settings and accepting the current configuration cured the problem.
