Bug Description

Binary package hint: modemmanager

When attempting to boot Karmic beta + updates, booting hangs with strace messages starting with modem manager tainted.

I'm not sure how to capture this output as it is not included in any log file I've found.

Only workaround is to unplug the device prior to booting.

This seems to have been resolved by removing a residual configuration file leftover in /etc/NetworkManager for a former mobile broadband device connection.

Changed in modemmanager (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
