Karmic apps keep crashing on basic_string::assign

I have this problem also, it has been effect for a while now in Karmic

works with:
Launch from console: LANG="C" gwibber

Some translation problems with python software?

Same to me:
Evolution crashes when replying
Pidgin doesn't start
Xchat doesn't start

Same:
Evolution and tomboy affected for me.
