synaptic - permanent error

Bug Description

every installation or uninstallation via synaptic manager ends with error code 2

see enclosure (ubuntu 9-04 Czech version)

PS: is impossible to uninstall, reinstall or remove bundels that show synaptic in this error... because every time fails

this error is shown at every time... (I didn't do anything with mentioned bundels)

Unfortunately, we cannot package the full VirtualBox: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Editions states this version is provided in binary form only; additionally, it has usage restrictions (only personal usage, and evaluation).

Closing WONTFIX: the Sun licence for the full VBox explicitly prohibits any usage beyond those listed in paragraph 2.

This bug has no conjunction with virtual box... if have not installed VBox or use it

Have you tried to run in the terminal:

sudo apt-get update -f
sudo apt-get upgrade -f

Does this fix the problem? Thanks.

sudo apt-get update -f finishes ok

sudo apt-get upgrade -f ends with error:
