Bug Description

I am using Astrid 2.8.8.1 on a HTC Hero (T-Mobile G2).

If I'm setting a time for e.g "Absolute Deadline" or "Goal Deadline" the time setting dialog appears in the 12-hour format. But in my systems "Date & time" setting I'm defined the 24-hour format.
So Astrid should also display the time setting dialog in the 24-hour format.

This patch should solve this issue.
In addition I added the same logic for the date format, so the date-format should reflect the date-format system setting.

Thanks, Bernd. It's been bugging me for so long, yet I never bothered to do anything about it.

I don't know the workflow in Launchpad (in Bugzilla it's generally a good idea to have QA/third-party verification), but just in case: I can confirm the fix is working fine. Both my date and time formats (plus the time input dialog) have changed, respecting my system settings.

I have an HTC Hero and I've just installed Astrid from Market. It looked from the info I got in Market that I was installing 2.9.2 but I am having the issue the original poster reported, i.e. that I have set the phone to use 24hr clock but the date/time settings for a task are still being displayed in 12 hour clock.

Did the fix get incorporated into 2.9.1 as suggested above and if so has it been inadvertently dropped again for 2.9.2. BTW I can not find from within Astrid any way for it to report its own version, i.e. the normal Help/About function.

I'm the original reporter and also the developer who wrote the patch for this issue.
I tried the 24-hour setting on my T-Mobile G2 (aka HTC Hero) with Astrid 2.9.2 and the time dialog reflects the system settings. Works fine with my telephone.

What version of Android are you using? Did you install the update for the sense UI, which was released a month ago?

It's an HTC-branded HTC Hero (rather than a T-Mobile G2).
Firmware 1.5

I did install what appeared at the time to be the latest firmware from HTC in the hope it would solve a problem I was having with the Calendar (which it didn't) - this is the version reported above and I installed it less than a month ago.

I can't reproduce this - it works for me as well. I'm on a G2. Is there any way you can show a screenshot or take a picture of your phone to show what you're talking about? Maybe something like this (if you have root)?
