Bug Description
Binary package hint: dput
We get a few people per day on the #launchpad channel confused about what happens after they upload a package.
It would be great if, after upload, we could return with a message along the lines of:
"You're upload has succeeded, if you don't receive an email from Launchpad in the next 10 minutes, the upload has not been processed and you need to contact an administrator [insert some for of contact here]"
Could this be done in time for karmic?

I don't think this is an appropriate change to make in dput.
I image, however, we could have poppy (the launchpad ftp server that handles uploads) send a message back via the ftp protocol (maybe the welcome message?) that we could have dput show the user. Such a solution would not depend on trying to depend or hard code into dput behavior specific to a single host.
