i installed the one in the PPA repository but it still crushes after i start the service it shows the notification bubble but the icon doesn`t change .... and then if i clik the icon nothing happens i can`t remove the icon and it just sits there in the tray when i first installed CGmail from the repository it worked but it didn`t know that there were emails that were downloaded ... and i thought that the newer version will be aware of this and only show the really new emails not all the unread mails and now none work and i`m back to the mail-notification which I don`t really like.

I`m using Ubuntu 9.04 - the Jaunty Jackalope - released in April 2009.

Right click the cGmailservice icon, click Preferences and you can control
the cgmailservice daemon (start/stop it), enable or disable accounts, ect.
Left-click does nothing.

If you experience crashes please remove cgmail package with:
- sudo apt-get remove --purge cgmail
- backup ~/.config/cgmail and then remove this folder;
- install cgmail and start it.

Will be interesting if you can get a crash report:
try starting cgmailservice and cgmail from terminal and
copy/paste here.

:D thanks a lot you were really nice answering all my questions :D

when will it support the feature of knowing what mails were already downloaded and you could also add the function when you left click the icon to open the mail reader and consider mails as read :D

hope you will develop your application because it is just what Ubuntu needs

thanks again
