Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
When going into graphical boot on an ia64, when X starts up, the USB keyboard and mouse used by my desktop no longer is available (X itself however fully comes up to the gdm startup screen). If the machine is SSHed into and GDM is stopped, the keyboard is available when the system returns to the console. It isn't possible to do a VT switch, or put in any input; the cursor next to Username: however suggests the system is not frozen. No obvious signs out of output in dmesg and friends (attached with ubuntu-bug).
