Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
I have a ZTE AC8710 3G CDMA/EVDO USB data card. Nothing used to work on the stock Intrepid install. But, I am able to connect to the internet using wvdial/
/sbin/modprobe usbserial vendor=0x19d2 product=0xffff (added as a rule to /etc/udev/
Network Manager still doesn't detect it. I've added the product ID to /usr/share/

Replace /lib/udev/ rules.d/ 77-nm-probe- modem-capabilit ies.rules with that one. The one shipped with Jaunty does some check based on the driver that causes the probing to be skipped if you are using usbserial.
