Bug Description
Update Manager failed to upgrade mysql server for some reason.
Didn't look in to it really, just clicked the various "report" buttons that popped up.

Could you post the content of /var/log/daemon.log around the time of the upgrade to identify why mysqld has failed to be stopped?
