network news items don't save

Bug Description
If I login as Admin and attempt to add a news item, it will not save. After I hit submit I get a confirmation screen showing the news item, but then if I click "Back to Network News", I get a screen screen that reports "No Items".

I believe we decided in the phone call that we couldn't recreate this, and to re-assign to Nat then close the issue. We'll re-open if we can recreate it.
