Bug Description
Binary package hint: pitivi
I noticed that when rendering a project (ogg theora into ogg theora) the vidoe quality was significantly reduced. Now, a while back i had to use ffmpeg to re-encode a broken ogg theora video to be able to upload it to youtube, and that didn't reduce the video quality noticably (or maybe even at all). Now, is re-encoding, and rendering different, or is this a bug that can be fixed? ...or is it user error (me not using the correct settings or something)

To answer your "question" (more than a bug report), this is just a matter of changing the quality setting when rendering. I also filed http:// bugzilla. gnome.org/ show_bug. cgi?id= 594564 about this, but I'm not sure they will implement it.
In any case, please report bugs on bugzilla.gnome.org, *not* on launchpad.
Also, you may be interested in trying Theora 1.1 (aka "thusnelda"), currently in release candidate status, to have better encoding quality for the same settings.
