Bug Description

Today's update included the -13 kernel. After the 2nd boot screen with the orange progress bar, it freezes with a blank screen and no disk activity. Fails consistently. Selecting -12 in grub still boots fine.
Dell vostro 1700, Ubuntu 8.10 gnome
Let me know how I can provide further info.

I also have this problem: Kernel boots as usual, no errors, warnings (as far as I can see, no splash), but instead of the usual GDM a blank screen stares at me. I can't restart X with Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, and I can't switch to one of the virtual consoles. Only way to shutdown is pressing the power button.
Also, I have no entries in either kern.log or Xorg.log. Kernel 2.6.27-12 has no problems.

I'm on a Samsung Laptop.
