Bug Description
When I upgraded my 8.10 to jaunty in console it happened that gdm was restarted - without keyboard support, so I could not switch back to console or login.
I was able to escape by choosing with the mouse to the XDM Chooser, which restarted the Xorg Server and this time provided keyboard support.
