OpenOffice corrupts display with KDE4 & nVidia binary driver

Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org2
Fresh install of Kubuntu Intrepid.
System with on-board nVidia 6150 Graphics
Login and start open office with default display driver - Every thing's fine.
If I install the nVidia restricted driver (tried both 177 and then 173) and start Open Office, various display corruption occurs.
This is weather or not KDE effects are on or off or Compiz is loaded.
If I remove the nVidia restricted drivers then display corruption troubles go away.
I've tried both 128M and 256M shared memory.
This problem was also in the beta of Kubuntu Intrepid.
