Bug Description

Ubuntu 8.10 2.6.27-7-generic

i used "driver hardware" to activate this restricted driver but after downloaded it the program doesn't activate it and the dot stays grey also after rebooting the system.
for this reason i can't use compiz and 3d acceleration
