Bug Description
So after upgrading to 8.10, VLC doesn't work the way it did in the past.
Bugs:
- can't play online audio streams such as .pls files
- when playing videos it's unable to have the video in the same window as the player, instead it always externalizes it.

please open seperate bugs for seperate issues. I've added a bugwatch in the vlc bugtracker for the pls issue.
btw, for vlc, you have better changes to find someone to fix the issue if you reported it directly upstream.
