Bug Description

Binary package hint: glade

This bug is seen in an update-to-date Ubuntu Hardy today (Glade 3.4.5).

1. launch Glade-3
2. create new window
3. add a new menu bar ('File...' icon)
4. right-click the 'edit' menu in the new menu bar
5. select the Separator
6. click the [+ Add] button
7. right-click the new menu entry and change its type to 'Separator'
8. click into the name of the menu entry and change it to '<separator>'
9. Glade-3 crashes, and disappears.

Cheers
JP

I've tested this with glade-3 on intrepid and i don't get a crash, could you report the crash with apport? just follow this instructions:

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit.
If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report.

apport will pick up the file and report it to lp so we can have an automatic retrace of the issue, would be good also if you could test the same with intrepid. I'm closing this report since apport will generate a new one with the information, thanks in advance.

I did the apport thing but it looks like this is just a duplicate of bug #214225
