Bug Description

A team page, such as <https://edge.launchpad.net/~bugsquad/+map> or <https://edge.launchpad.net/~launchpad/+map>, ends with a "Times" section that lists what are apparently times, one per line.

Times of what? Why are these here? Why are they taking up so much space?

If there is any point to these being here, it should be explained on the page. Otherwise, they should be removed.

It may save time to fix this bug at the same time as bug 262702.

Not fixed yet: a test subject "didn't understand what 'Members' current local time:' was for, even after making him think about it for a bit".

So, a few ideas:

- Show the timezone next to each time within brackets
- Show *your* current local time prominently at the top of the page, so you can link it to something
- Change the title to something like "Current teams' local times:"

Those might help people understand what the times mean. But they still wouldn't help anyone understand what they're *for*. What are they for, anyway?

To know what timezones the team is in.
We could also add the count of people per timezone, so you would know
how many people are available at what times.

Why is it useful to know what timezones people are in?

If what you really want to know is whether it's okay to call a particular person, an anonymous list of local times won't help. Instead, you want to know whether the person is likely to be available (bug 264699 is an excellent idea!), or failing that you want to know what the local time is for that person, so it should be on their profile page.

If what you really want is to organize a meeting of a longitudinally-distributed team, again the list of local times won't help. What would help is a bar graph of how many team members are available at each hour.

So you know at what time to catch them on IRC, so you know when they
will likely answer your emails, etc etc etc

As far as I can see, this still isn't fixed. For example, <https://edge.launchpad.net/~bugsquad/+map> says "Members' current local time:", but then lists 25 different times. What use is that? It doesn't tell me what time to find anyone on IRC or when to expect e-mail from them.
