xterm doesn't load "XTerm-color" from app-defaults like it used to

Bug Description

xterm seems to be hardcoded to load only XTerm resource file. Only way of
getting it to load XTerm-color seems to be
a symlink from /etc/X11/app-defaults/XTerm-color to home directory. xterm
-class XTerm-color will also work

This behaviour appears to have changed starting with breezy, and on.

Thanks

Pf

I can see it in a strace log as well...I'll informed upstream about this bug.

thanks - I'll look at this to verify.  I don't use xrdb much (I usually
use fvwm, and set $XAPPLRESDIR to allow me to easily customize things).

no - in between.  xterm relies on the X libraries to find the app-defaults
files.  I'm not where I can check immediately, but suppose the search path
is in the Xt library.

This should be fixed now by the time you come back from your cruise :)
