audio conflict: rhythmbox/movie player and firefox

Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
after startup, the first media program i run will work properly. if i start rhythmbox first, no audio will stream from youtube (although video will stream). if i start firefox first, no audio (local mp3s or internet radio) from rhythmbox will work. tried switching to amarok and also reinstalling rhythmbox but still getting the same problem.

Try opening System > Preferences > Sound to get the Sound Preferences dialog box. There check the option for "Music and Movies". If it is "PulseAudio Sound server" is the one that is currently selected, try ESD or ALSA. That should make multiple players be able to play audio at the same time.
