Please backport mayavi2.2 from Intrepid

I have tested (mayavi2_2.2.0-1) on Hardy. b/i/r.

I succesfully built the packages currently in Intrepid in a clean Hardy pbuilder environment with no changes. They install and run fine on Hardy.

The new release of the enthought suite has a number of new features that I would like to see in Hardy.

Marking this bug as triaged. Please continue testing and reporting.

Please do not open Ubuntu tasks against backports bugs. They are not valid, generate extra bugmail, and cause confusion.

Please give the exact version/revision of all the packages you tested with.

If I am the culprit, I jus followed the links on
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports . I don't know much
about the different proceedures.

No worries. It wasn't you.

I have just tested with package mayavi2_2.2.0-1 and it works. I didn't backport python-enthought-traits and python-enthought-traits-ui !

Given that upstream says python-enthought-traits and python-enthought-traits-ui should be updated together, I think we ought to do it that way. Please check those too.

I have tested mayavi2_2.2.0-1 with python-enthought-traits_2.0.5-1 and python-enthought-traits-ui_2.0.5-1, it work well.

I tested:

- mayavi2 2.2.0-1
- enthought-chaco2 2.0.5-1
- enthought-traits 2.0.5-1
- enthought-traits-ui 2.0.5-1

All of them B-I-R fine.

Ack from ubuntu-backporters for:

- mayavi2 2.2.0-1
- enthought-chaco2 2.0.5-1
- enthought-traits 2.0.5-1
- enthought-traits-ui 2.0.5-1

Yes, these packages work together. Mayavi2.2 may not require the latest
python-enthought-traits and python-enthought-traits-ui, some of the bug
fixes of python-enthought-traits and python-enthought-traits-ui are
actually driven to fix problems in mayavi2.

Just to confirm, using the "prevu" tool, the three packages (mayavi2.2, traits and traits-ui) from Intrepid did build and install flawlessly on Hardy.
