Problems using Fastscroller with Folder starting with _

Bug Description
When using the fastscroller and there is a folder that starts with _ it is not working.
It stays at the # and it is not possible to move to an other letter.
when pressing up key there is a list index out of range error (easily to reproduce, just go to the first letter and press up).
To test:
1) create a folder like _New Folder
2) go into folder/file selection and move left to fast scroller.
status: fast scroller doesn't move to next letter.
expected: names starting with _ should be interpreted correctly as non alpha.
(also try this with other non alpha characters)
