Bug Description

The first and second installation of MythBuntu 8.04 _Hardy Heron_ - Release amd64 (20080422.1) failed on initial setup of the mythtv database. It appears that the Mysql server was not running on installation and configuring of the mythtv-database package. Within /var/log/installer/syslog a message was found stating the following...

Apr 27 16:58:37 in-target: FAILED TO CONNECT TO DATABASE: CAN'T CONNECT TO LOCAL MYSQL SERVER THROUGH SOCKET '/VAR/RUN/MYSQLD/MYSQLD.SOCK' (2) AT -E LINE 5, <> LINE 1.^M
Apr 27 16:58:37 in-target: FAILED TO CREATE DATABASE (INCORRECT ADMIN USERNAME/PASSWORD?)^M
Apr 27 16:58:37 in-target: IT'S ALSO POSSIBLE THAT MYSQL-SERVER WASN'T RUNNING. AFTER INSTALL^M
Apr 27 16:58:37 in-target: IS COMPLETED, YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE SURE MYSQL-SERVER IS RUNNING^M
Apr 27 16:58:37 in-target: AND THAT YOU SUPPLIED CORRECT INFORMATION. TRY:^M
Apr 27 16:58:37 in-target: SUDO DPKG-RECONFIGURE MYTHTV-DATABASE^M

Running the recommended command after installation corrected the issue. The complete /var/log/installer/syslog has been attached.
