Title Bar of Current Window Turns Pink or Invisible

Bug Description

Whether in Evolution or Firefox or Open Office (whatever app happens to be on top), the window's Title Bar turns to a pinkish purple and some scrambled text seems to be trying to be displayed on it. Pressing Alt-Tab twice -- to switch between active windows and back -- seems to fix it right away.

Also, sometimes the window Title Bar just turns gray like the area below it. At those times (right now!), the only thing visible on the Title Bar are: the tiny Firefox logo on the left, and the minimize "-" (minus) symbol on the right. All else is just gray.

I've noticed this as well, with compiz turned on (the default if available).
I mostly use nvidia, so I'm not sure if it's related to the driver or not

I have seen this using a [GeForce 7600 GS] and 'nvidia' from nvidia-glx-new, on an i386 gutsy system

I concur this bug and it is driving me nuts.

My video card is a nVidia Corporation G71 [GeForce 7300 GS] (rev a1)

Other symptoms include terminal windows going completely opaque as well as the pink title bar.

My system is Hardy with a uname -r 2.6.24-16-generic kernel #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

I am using the 'non-free nvidia' driver. For what it's worth I am running with 'Visual Effects' set to 'Normal'

I hope to get a screenshot of this soon.

Same thing is happening to me - I'm running Hardy w/ nvidia (Visual Effects set to "Normal"). This is very annoying!

I am having the same problem with the title bar turning pink with scrambled text.

I'm running Hardy 8.04
Kernel: 2.6.24-16-generic
Compiz turned on with default settings. Version 0.7.4
Nvidia non-free (proprietary) driver with a 7300GS card

I'll grab a screenshot next time it happens.
