Statistical Categories: Grid Settings Not Saving

In the angular statistical categories editors (item and patron) the Save Grid Settings option doesn't save your grid settings.

I get this console error when I try to save

2192.7f8ecba04e8f52b6.js:1 Error saving columns: No user or workstation setting type exists for: "eg.grid.admin.local.asset.stat_cat".
Create a ws/user setting type or use setLocalItem() to store the value locally.

When I go back to the interface the columns I removed before clicking Save Grid Settings are back.
