Unable to find expected entry web/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)

Bug Description
I am using Xubuntu 7.10. I don't know anything about "web" repository but it is included in my /etc/apt/
sudo apt-get update gives:

I removed the occurences of "web" in sources.list and now "sudo apt-get update" works without failure. Am I missing something?
