Bug Description
Randomly when using a USB audio device my headphones will start screeching at a deafeningly loud volume.
This seems to be a documented bug in pipewire with a fix committed last week.

I'd say this is pretty major. The volume is not controllable and using headphones it was painfully loud causing my ears to ring for several minutes.

I suspect you've linked to the wrong bug. Upstream issue 2832 is about "noise" not "volume". And that problem started in 0.3.60 which does not formally exist in Ubuntu yet.
