Bug Description

maas: 1:3.2.6-12016-g.19812b4da-0ubuntu1~20.04.1

https://maas.io/docs/about-customising-machines#heading--about-customising-deployed-machines
https://maas.io/docs/how-to-customise-machines#heading--how-to-enable-hardware-sync-on-a-machine

The hardware sync function relies on a systemd timer according to the vendor data code so it's not applicable to Windows:
https://git.launchpad.net/maas/tree/src/metadataserver/vendor_data.py?id=95c09efafc46cfd755f90bc51ab76965afe4c1c8

However, WebUI doesn't gray out the option when provisioning an Windows image although VM host provisioning option is appropriately grayed out. Please see the screenshot attached.

Need to check if this is still an issue in current MAAS, but not unlikely.
